Kajol in ‘K.A.N.K.’?: Karan clarifies

Is Kajol making a surprise appearance in Karan Johar’s forthcoming film KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA? That’s the buzz in the media. Really, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the actress makes an appearance because Kajol and Karan happen to be thick friends. In fact, the actress did make a fleeting appearance in Karan’s KAL HO NAA HO, directed by Nikhil Advani.
“I’d love to cast her in all my films,” Karan Johar tells me, “But the fact is that she isn’t making an appearance in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA. Frankly, there’s no situation in the film where I could accommodate Kajol.”

So sad! After Fanaa, I'm dying to see her in something. I guess I have to be content with going home and re-watch DDLJ and K3G until I can buy the Fanaa DVD!!  |

I find it hard to believe that Kajol will have no appearance in Karan's film. I reckon he's just trying to throw people off because it was meant to be surprise, after all he gave both Kajol and Rani a few seconds of screen time in KHNH. So yeah, don't give up hope just yet.  |

I hope you are right (and yes, Karan's claims do strain credulity a bit!). The KHNH appearance was random enough that I also have a hard time believing that someone (especially Kajol) cannot be "accommodated" in a 3-hour movie!

If you look on imdb, it says that Kajol is a "dancer at party". hmm...I believe imdb more than the surprise-popping Karan. |

Okay, I read Karan's interview about shooting for the RaRS song and he said it's features AB and Abhishek. There's a female voice on the song, which many of you have heard and I think it will be Kajol singing that. Let's hope so. |

I love that Mahi Veh scene, for everything in it. And Rani and Kajol appearing for seconds just was frosting. He may be serious that he doesn't have any cute tricks up his sleeve, but he may also have a wicked idea he doesn't want to spoil. I just wish then he'd have Kareena back on KWK and she could steal his lie detector and blow it at him. All his questions to her and his constant sounding of the lie detector was one of his wicked stunts.

Kajol replaces Ash with Bachchans

It’s time to rock and roll for the Bachchans again. This time though it’s not with Aishwarya, but Kajol. Amitabh and Abhishek will shake a leg in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) along with Kajol who will feature in an entire antara.
Kajol who is considered director Karan Johar’s lucky mascot will sway to the song Rock n Roll Soniye with the Bachchans. The song, to be choreographed by Farah Khan, opens with Abhishek and later Amitabh Bachchan joins in, followed by Kajol. Rock N Roll Soniye does have a few lines from the popular song of the 60s Sar Pe Topi Lal, Haath Mein Resham Ka Roomal.

I sure hope there is, so many rumours flying around plus Karan says he cannot 'accommodate' her. I still believe he's just trying to throw people off, but I will be dissapointed if she doesn't have an appearance.
