Yea, the 'not able to accommodate her' comment makes me think she's going to be there. There really wasn't a place for her in Kal Ho Naa Ho, but they worked it to where they could add her. I'm sure he'll do the same in KANK. Because Karan is so superstitious.

Yep mari all we can do is wait. KANK’s promotional strategy: Kajol and Merchandise One of the most awaited films of the year is Karan Johar’s Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna (KANK). Karan is known to have opulent settings and costumes for his films. The starcast of KANK too has some of the biggest names in bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta. Another constant feature of Karan Johar’s films is known to be one of his favourite actresses Kajol. She has made guest appearances in Karan’s films earlier. And now she will feature in a song along with Amitabh and Abhishek in KANK. Although director Karan Johar is being pretty tight lipped about Kajol making an appearance in his soon to be released film KANK, according to sources the actress will feature in a song titled ‘Rock n Roll Soniye’. The song which is a part of the film also features Amitabh and son Abhishek Bachchan. The trio will gyrate to this Punjabi style song. Karan considers Kajol to be his lucky mascot and hence even though she has not acted in his latest venture, she will be seen in this song from the film. After Yash Raj Films launched the sale of film merchandise for their film Fanaa, it was next the turn of Rakesh Roshan to promote his film Krrish with merchandise of a superhero. Well this trend of selling merchandise from the film is fast catching up and now filmmaker Karan Johar is following in the footsteps of the others. He will promote his film Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna by launching merchandise for his film. The items for sale will include coffee mugs, key chains, pens etc. KANK is a film based on relationships, but rather on the failure of the most important relationships in life. It's just that her name was listed for the song Mere Haath Main from Fanaa before the soundtrack was released and I got excited for no reason, thinking they managed to convince her she should sing something (Aamir has done it before, so I was not as surprised), but of course, those were speaking parts. So I was trying to avoid getting excited for no reason! I'd imagine her voice is nothing extraordinary, but like the whole Aamir craze, I'd be all for it over someone else who may very well sound better! ;D |

Despite all the original rumors, Kajol will be making a special appearance in KANK. She will be seen in the 'Rock 'n' Roll Soniye' song with both Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan.
Karan Johar always manages to have the beauty in his films somewhere. She has proved to be a lucky charm for him throughout the years.

I'd imagine her voice is nothing extraordinary, but like the whole Aamir craze, I'd be all for it over someone else who may very well sound better! ;D Well, she does sort of sing in Fanaa, that one scene with Antakshari.. I'm pretty convinced every Bollywood star could sing okay with today's technology but none are cut out to be the next Asha Bhonsle or Kishore. |
