Another great Bollywood film. A few people did seem to get annoyed by Kajol's character. I thought she was hilarious (once I turned the volume down.  ) SRK/Kajol once again proved why their pairing is so legendary. Discuss everything K3G related here. |

I was wondering when this one was coming on! I know a lot of people complain about various aspects of the movie, but the one thing that is absolutely flawless is the relationship between Kadz and Shah Rukh. Anyone say "aur pas"?!!
All I have to say is "yeh jodi haai allah, haai haai re allah!"

ohhhhh evrytime i watch this movie i realllyyy end up falling in love more with the legendary pair of srkajol!they r just perfect with each other!!!1 ;D

I have such powerful conflicting emotions about this movie. It has one of my alltime favorite moments with Jaya standing on a cushion to tie Amitabh's tie and convince him to welcome back his adopted son. But I never did understand the part of the plot where the son marries someone he hardly knows out of sympathy. And then the whole thread with Hrithik and Kareena was SUCH a distraction. I will never understand the necessity of that. It detracts from the integrity of the story.
Anyway, despite the Jaya and Ambitabh interactions (and I love Jaya like my own mother), I hardly ever put this movie on my favorites list. I think despite its huge ticket sales, Karan wasn't focused enough when he made the movie.
And it seems really odd to me that after making this movie, Karan veered away from both Hrithik and Kareena. Has even produced a movie with them in it since? So I think their presence is something that never worked for me. I wish there had been less of them and more of Rani. But it would have been a different story. And also the ending seemed abrupt and unsatisfactory.
Sorry to annoy anyone who is a HUGE K3G fan, but these are my feelings about the movie.

I did not see it that way, but I can see what you mean. In retrospect, I wish they had gotten married and then her father had died; that way, there would be no doubt that it was pure love and not sympathy. Now that you have pointed this, I tend to agree that Karan could have made this movie much tighter. I hated the whole Pooja thing; it really irritated me and I always fast-forward through the whole Kareena/Hrithik songs/interactions. I mean, how could that on-screen jodi compete after you spend the first half watching something as magical as Kajol/Shah Rukh on-screen romance? ;D |

This movie was my introduction to Hindi films so I can't critisize it too much
but I agree with anilkapoorfan in a lot of the points.
what's interesting is what Karan himself said about K3G..he said:
"when I was making K3G , I was trying to make a big film, while in KANK, I am trying to make a good film"
I think Karan lost his way in k3g, the grandeur of the film distracted from the charactarization of the protagonists....I some times feel he made K3g scared of failure and not matching the success of KKHH , that he decided to stick to the safe route , and not take any risks in it.
still entertaining film..

It's nice to see my instincts borne out. If he wanted to hijack some of Hrithik's star power, he had to justify his presence. Plus, he had to create a love interest. So it becomes kind of a row of dominoes, with one decision dictating a series. Not good for the overall movie. I suppose it drew many fans who liked one or more of the marquee names, but it wasn't the best for making the movie. And much as Hrithik may respect SRK, I'm not sure they are compatible in a movie with SRK the way certain other stars are. Sort of like putting SRK in a movie with Kamal Hassan. SRK felt like a false presence in Hey Ram just as Hrithik feels like a false presence in K3G. But Hey Ram had less of the centripetal feeling than K3G. And it had a better role for Rani, even if it still wasn't a full role.

what can i say about this movie, the best movie and i luved SRK and Kajol in Suraj hoa madham, she looked so beautiful.
i thought kajol's charactar was sooo good and funny.

i remmber when first I watched The cover and I was staring at kajol and SRK I said who are they  ?!!! I kept looking at the DVD cover .. and forget about it .. Next Day every one was just talking about K3G every where it's K3G then I asked my freind If she can brow me this movie AND I've watched ..from that day my life changed and that was kajol ... suraj hua madham Beauty so HOT anjly the mad girl Brings a smile to me when she crys I cry she laughs I laugh she smiles I smile she feel shy I feel shy ... I LOVED kajol from this film I've watched about 10000000000 times Love it love it |

Just saw this capped avatar and thought I'd share! I love that scene. I do love K3G but I agree w/ anilkapoorfan. I also thought that the ending was extremely abrupt. For me the second part felt as if it would never end. Most probably because of the Poo thing. But people seem to forget that the Poo character was supposed to bug the heck out of them. And I guess that just means that Kareena portrayed the character well. I agree with everyone who said that Kajol was absolutely crazy and zany. I loved her especially when she apologized for breaking the "pot". ;D I've made a rut on my DVD just watching that scene over and over. SRK and Kajol's chemistry was out of this world in K3G and I love all the scenes they're in. And a bit off subject but I just loved the actor who played little Rohan (SRK's brother). Anybody know who that is? So K3G starts great but at the end, it sort of left a little hole in me. The ending just didn't seem to live up to the beginning. But still one of my first BW movies so I can't find much fault with it.  sorry for more typing. |

I loved kajol's character. It was different and she did a great job.
Loved the movie. So sad. Loved SRK and Kajol's chemistry. Hrithik Roshan's character was good! Hated Kareena's character.
