Rang De Basanti selected for Golden Globe Awards By IndiaFM News Bureau, July 6, 2006 - 04:57 IST Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s path-breaking Rang De Basanti has been selected for the Golden Globe Awards. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is the official body for the Golden Globe Awards, has scheduled to screen ‘Rang De Basanti’ at the Clarity Screening Theatre in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on July 27. Producer Ronnie Screwvala is all elated about the development and said that Rang De Basanti will compete in the foreign language film category. 'Rang De Basanti' to compete for Golden Globe06th July 2006 16.45 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau Reports have it that Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s movie Rang De Basanti has been selected for the Golden Globe Awards. Mehra’s superbly crafted film has already rocked the box-office and proved to be a huge success not just at home but also abroad. The movie, starring Aamir Khan , Alice Patten , Soha Ali Khan and a host of other stars has now got a rare honour in the form of selection at the Golden Globe Awards, which are officiated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The official body for the Golden Globes has reportedly scheduled to screen ‘Rang De Basanti’ at the Clarity Screening Theatre in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on July 27. I am the only one who thinks that article says that RDB.. will be screened for the foreign press first?
the nomination for the Golden Globes comed in Jan/Feb of next year...RDB was not nominated for the GG, it was selected to be screend ....hopefully they like it and nominate it "next year"
